Ron Newdoll having had great success with
the release of "Last Kiss" by J.Frank Wilson and The Cavaliers in 1964
was open
to signing new talent from cities in Texas such as Abilene, San Antonio and San
Angelo. From San Antonio, The Outcasts were signed to Newdoll's new label
, Askell Records in November of 1965. Recording sessions
were done at Newdoll's studio "Accurate Sound" and publishing by his Sangelo
Publishing Company. For many years the garage band records released on Newdoll's
label have been sought after by collectors-The Remaining Few, The Chevelle V,
and The Outcasts. The Outcasts classic "I'm In Pittsburgh and Its Raining"
has received four star ranking and has been bootlegged on many labels
since its release in 1966, which only caused the bands mystique to grow. PICTURED BELOW ARE VARIOUS ITEMS OF SIGNIFICANCE FROM
